Cleaning and disinfection in bottling and beverage plants: CIP, bottles and belts
In a bottling plant almost everything is cleaned by recirculation: tanks, pipework and fillers. On top of that come bottle and crate washing, lubrication of the packaging belts and, in many plants, water treatment. Products and data sheet doses for each point.

The cleaning points in a beverage plant
Tanks, pipework and fillers
Cleaning by recirculation (CIP): alkaline, acid and disinfection, with rinses between stages.
Bottles
Alkaline washing in bottle washers, at the dose and maximum temperature on the data sheet.
Crates and trays
Spray washing tunnels with controlled-foam alkaline detergents.
Packaging belts
Continuous lubrication so containers slide, by drip feed or automatic dosing.
Water
Drinking water disinfection with a product suitable for that use according to its data sheet.
Hands
No-rinse hand washing in packaging areas.
Which product goes with each point
