Calculate the amount of product
How it is calculated
Technical data sheets express the dose in three ways:
In %
Kilos of product per 100 litres of solution. At 2%, 2 kg in 100 litres, or 20 g per litre.
In g/l
Grams of product per litre of solution. At 10 g/l, 1 kg in 100 litres.
In ml/m²
Millilitres of product per square metre of surface, as with Freez Clean.
Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate the amount of product for a dose in %?
Multiply the litres of solution by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 500 litres at 2% is 10 kg of product.
What is the difference between % and g/l?
1% is equivalent to 10 g per litre. Data sheets use one unit or the other depending on the product.
Where do the calculator's doses come from?
From each product's technical data sheet. If you enter a dose outside its range, the calculator warns you.
Can I use it for Freez Clean?
Yes: choose Freez Clean and enter the square metres of the cold room; the data sheet states 100–300 ml per square metre.
Do you need help with dosing?
Tell us what you clean, the volume of your solutions and whether you dose by hand or with equipment: we will help you adjust doses and consumption.
