Vacid, Acidic anti-limescale detergent.

Vacid

Acidic anti-limescale detergent.

A powerful, controlled foaming acid detergent with high wetting and penetrating power. Specifically designed to quickly and effectively remove scale deposits, this product is ideal for deep cleaning of circuits, pipes, vats, tanks and reservoirs in water bottling plants, milking parlours and the food industry in general. It is compatible with a wide range of materials commonly used in the food industry, making it a versatile choice. However, it is important to note that high concentrations should be avoided on low quality steels. Dosage and method of use are simple. Before applying the product, it is recommended to rinse the installation under running water. The product is then circulated at a concentration of 5 to 10 g/l for 5 to 10 minutes at a temperature of 50 to 60 degrees Celsius. After this time, rinse with cold potable water. For manual applications, a concentration of 5 to 10 g/l with a contact time of at least 8 minutes can be used. In the case of old incrustations, the dosage should be increased to 50 to 100 g/l for effective removal. It comes in 22 kg packages.

Vacid: Acid Detergent for the Food Industry

Vacid is a highly effective acid detergent, specially formulated for deep cleaning in the food industry, with notable applications in water bottling plants, milking parlours and food processing in general. Its ability to effectively remove limescale deposits makes it suitable for the deep cleaning of circuits, pipes, vats, tanks and reservoirs. Its controlled foam makes it easy to apply by circulation.

How Does Vacid Work? Mode of Action and Material Compatibility

The presence of limescale deposits in food and beverage processing equipment not only reduces process efficiency but also increases the risk of microbiological contamination. Vacid removes limescale deposits quickly and effectively and can be used on all materials normally found in the food industry, avoiding high concentrations on low-grade steels. Its deep wetting power allows the active agents to penetrate the inner layers of the scale, helping to break it down and flush it away.

In industrial environments that use CIP systems, Vacid is applied by circulation at 5 to 10 g/l, for 5-10 minutes, at 50-60 ºC. However, its use on low-grade steel must be handled with care to avoid corrosion at high concentrations. Its compatibility with most materials found in the food industry makes it especially versatile.

Adaptability of Vacid in Different Industrial Environments

Cleaning in the food industry covers several key areas where residues and deposits can compromise the safety and efficiency of equipment. Vacid is designed for cleaning circuits, pipes, vats, tanks and reservoirs, offering a comprehensive solution to help maintain hygienic conditions at every stage of the process. The main areas of application and their specific features are detailed below.

Circuit Cleaning

Closed circuit systems, such as those used in milking parlours and bottling plants, require rigorous cleaning to remove product residues and prevent limescale from forming. Thanks to its controlled-foam formulation, Vacid circulates effectively without blockages.

Pipe Maintenance

Industrial pipes can accumulate limescale deposits. The penetrating action of Vacid removes these limescale deposits quickly and effectively.

Vat Cleaning

Food storage vats can develop build-ups of residues that are hard to remove, compromising the quality of the processed products. Vacid provides deep, even cleaning, acting on all internal surfaces and removing limescale residues. Afterwards, rinse with cold drinking water.

Tank Descaling

Production and storage tanks must be kept in good sanitary condition to avoid contamination. As it is highly effective at removing scale, Vacid is ideal for the periodic descaling of this equipment.

Reservoir Cleaning

In reservoirs, the build-up of sediment and limescale residues can affect the quality of the stored products. Applying Vacid dissolves and removes these deposits effectively.

Directions for Use: How to Apply Vacid Correctly

For effective industrial cleaning, it is essential to follow a structured protocol. Before applying Vacid, rinse the installation with running water to remove surface dirt. In CIP systems, circulate Vacid at a concentration of 5 to 10 g/L, with an exposure time of 5 to 10 minutes and at a temperature of 50 - 60ºC. A final rinse with cold drinking water is essential to ensure that no detergent residues remain in the system.

For manual cleaning, apply Vacid at concentrations of 5 - 10 g/L with a contact time of at least 8 minutes. Where limescale deposits are old or firmly attached, the dose can be increased to 50 - 100 g/L to help remove them without additional mechanical action. On low-grade steels, avoid using it at high concentrations.

Vacid: A Key Ally in Industrial Hygiene

Choosing Vacid as an industrial detergent brings many benefits. Its specialised formulation allows the effective removal of limescale deposits and mineral residues, preventing the formation of scale that could reduce equipment efficiency. Thanks to its controlled foam, the product avoids excess residues during cleaning.

Its high wetting and penetrating power makes deep cleaning easier without the need for long contact times. Its compatibility with a wide variety of industrial materials makes it suitable for use in various installations in food production plants.

Safety and Quality in the Food Industry

Cleaning in the food industry is a fundamental pillar of product safety and quality. Vacid provides an effective solution for removing limescale deposits. Its versatility and adaptability to different industrial environments make it a valuable tool for the hygienic maintenance of processing equipment.

Its deep action and its compatibility with the materials commonly used in the food industry make this acid detergent a reliable choice for removing limescale deposits.
