Hot Gras is a hot degreasing cleaner formulated with alkalis, surfactants and highly effective solvents. As an industrial degreaser for intensive use, it removes polymerised fats, carbonised residues and encrustation on professional kitchen equipment without requiring intense mechanical friction, leaving no odours or flavours after rinsing.
Description
Hot Gras is an alkaline hot degreaser formulated with a synergistic combination of alkalis, surfactants and solvents. Its mechanism of action is activated by equipment temperature, allowing it to decompose and encapsulate polymerised fats, carbonised residues and adhered encrustations without requiring abrasives or high manual effort. It is formulated for use on active or warm equipment, making it especially suitable for narrow operating windows between services.
Hot Gras is a product formulated and manufactured by Detervic / Instaquim, designed for industrial cleaning and professional hospitality environments where effectiveness on heavy fat loads is a decisive requirement. Detervic / Instaquim's range of industrial degreasers is backed by direct technical support for distributors and professional clients.

Benefits for professional use
- Temperature-enhanced action — equipment temperature amplifies the activity of alkalis and solvents on polymerised fats, reducing the contact time required in each cleaning cycle.
- No intense mechanical friction — the combination of alkalis, surfactants and solvents breaks down and encapsulates fatty residues without requiring abrasives or excessive manual effort.
- No odours or flavours — leaves no odours or flavours after rinsing with plenty of water.
- Efficient in short cycles — designed for operations with limited downtime between services, where professional kitchen cleaning must be completed in tight timescales without compromising results.
Main applications
- Kitchen griddles: as a professional griddle cleaner, it removes cooked fats and adhered residues between services, maintaining the equipment's thermal performance.
- Industrial fryers: hot action decomposes polymerised fat and carbonised remnants that conventional cold-applied degreasers cannot eliminate efficiently in short timescales.
- Professional kitchen ovens: acts on fatty deposits and organic residues adhered to walls and trays, with direct effectiveness on high thermal load encrustations.
- Grills and gratinators: metal surfaces with continuous accumulation of burnt fats requiring a strong industrial degreaser with rapid action.
- Central kitchens and industrial catering: collective catering environments with high service rotation where professional kitchen cleaning is a critical and frequent process.
- High-rotation hospitality: establishments with multiple daily services requiring a kitchen degreaser compatible with actual operating times between shifts.
Recommended sectors
- HoReCa — hotels, restaurants and cafés with equipment exposed to high fat loads and frequent cleaning cycles between services; specific use on griddles, ovens, fryers and grills.
- Cleaning services and professional cleaning companies — maintenance contracts for industrial kitchens and collective catering facilities where effectiveness on encrustations and equipment safety are decisive selection criteria.
