Dairy farms have two coexisting needs: cleaning the milking installation by recirculation and looking after teat hygiene before and after each milking. For the installation, non-foaming chlorinated alkaline detergents and acid descalers, plus a food-grade disinfectant. For the animal, foam sanitisers for before milking and sealants for afterwards, iodine-based, with lactic acid or in two components mixed before use.
Clor NF Pro is used at 2 to 8 % at 20-60 °C with 5-15 minutes of action; Nitracip Pro is recirculated at 0.5-1 % for 15-20 minutes at 40-60 °C; Condnipple A is activated by mixing 50 ml of Condnipple B per litre and applied immediately after milking, and Nippclean is used neat with a foam applicator, removed after 30 seconds before milking. All have a technical data sheet and a safety data sheet (SDS); Instaquim is the manufacturer.
