Main applications

  • Car wash tunnels: application in the final phase 3 with automatic dosing integrated into the tunnel system.
  • Washes with automatic drying systems: final rinse before drying.

The rinsing phase is the last one in the tunnel and the one that determines what the driver sees on exiting: whether the bodywork shines, whether there are water marks, whether drying has been effective.

What Ceracar does in the final phase of the tunnel

When the main wash detergent has completed its function, the bodywork still carries water with product residues and dissolved minerals. If that water dries directly on the paintwork, it leaves a surface without shine. Ceracar acts in the rinsing phase:

FunctionEffect
Removes residues from the main washThe bodywork reaches the drying system free of detergent residues.
Provides shineShines the bodywork in the final rinse (5-8 g/l).

Ceracar and Ceracar+: which to choose

Instaquim offers Ceracar in two versions depending on the volume of washes and the level of finish required:

Water hardness is the key factor in the rinsing phase

The Ceracar dose ranges from 5 to 8 g/l in the final rinse.

Instaquim's technical team advises on the optimal dosing for each installation.

Complete the tunnel range

Ceracar covers phase 3. For a complete range, combine it with Carfoam (pre-wash foaming agent, phase 1) and Procar (neutral main-wash detergent, phase 2). The three products are formulated for automatic dosing and designed to work in sequence in the same tunnel.

Recommended sectors

  • Transport and vehicle cleaning — complete range of products for automatic tunnels, high-pressure washing, pre-washing, finishes, interiors and mechanical workshop.
  • Automatic wash tunnel — products formulated for the three phases of the automated wash process, with dosing by injection.
  • Service companies — use in self-wash centres, fleet managers and service-station operators with integrated wash installations.

Indicative instructions for use

01
Check that the tunnel dispenser is calibrated for phase 3 (final rinse). For high-turnover installations, use Ceracar+.
02
Set the dose on the dispenser following the Ceracar technical data sheet (5-8 g/l), adjusting according to the system flow rate and local water hardness.
03
Load the product directly into the dispenser tank — it does not require manual dilution.
04
Start the cycle. The dispenser will inject Ceracar in phase 3 of the rinse, before automatic drying.
05
At the end of the cycle, check the result on the bodywork. Store the product in its original closed container.

The exact doses and particularities according to flow rate and type of installation are detailed in the technical data sheet.

What is a rinse aid and how does it work?

A rinse aid is automatically dispensed during the final rinse phase of the dishwasher. Its technical function is to reduce the surface tension of the water: instead of clinging in droplets on plates, glasses and cutlery, the water spreads into a uniform film and sheets off the surface (sheeting effect). As the water drains away before drying, the dissolved minerals —mainly limescale— are prevented from crystallising on the dishes, eliminating spots, water marks and whitish films, especially visible on glassware. The result is faster drying, with no manual wiping, and a bright, streak-free finish. The optimal dose depends on water hardness: the harder the water, the higher the dose needed to offset the lime content.
