First the metal, then the product
With metals, the first thing is to check what the data sheet allows. Many alkaline degreasers are suitable for stainless steel but not for aluminium; some acid products are suitable for both. Silver needs its own bath, and workshop iron and steel need protection against moisture.
For day-to-day stainless steel care there are two steps: remove the grease or limescale, and polish with a film that protects against splashes. Linox is the polish; its data sheet states that it should not be used on food preparation surfaces.

Frequently asked questions about cleaning stainless steel
How do you leave stainless steel streak-free?
With Linox: spray a small amount and rub with a dry cloth. It leaves a shiny film that protects against grease and splashes. If the surface is very dirty, clean it first. It is not used on food preparation surfaces.
What should I use if the stainless steel has limescale or stains?
Which product is suitable for aluminium?
How is silver cleaned?
With Argentnet, neat at room temperature: immerse the pieces without rubbing for 30 seconds to 1 minute, never more than 2 minutes, and rinse with plenty of water. If they are very dirty, it is advisable to degrease them first.
How do I protect metal from moisture and rust?
Anti Ox, an aerosol, leaves a thin, permanent protective layer that does not dry. Its data sheet indicates it for general industry, shipping companies, workshops and construction.
Do you supply the hospitality sector, industry and distributors?
Yes. We have been manufacturing at our plant in Vic since 1990. See the distribution programme.
Which metal do you need to clean?
Tell us what the surface is (stainless steel, aluminium, silver, iron), what soiling it has and whether it is in contact with food: we will recommend a product at factory price.
