Laundry additives complement the main detergent in industrial and self-service laundries: wetting agents to improve washing, neutralisers and reducers for the rinse, a fabric softener for automatic dosing, a specific degreaser for sunscreen residues, an iron sequestrant for ferruginous water, a detergent for hard water up to 60 °fH and descalers to recover linen and maintain the washing machines. Almost all are dosed in grams per kilo of dry laundry.
Duron, for hard water, is dosed at 10 to 12 g per kg of dry laundry; Fluid +, a concentrated wetting agent, at 1 to 4 g/kg at any temperature and hardness; Suaumatic, a neutralising softener, at 5 to 10 g/kg in the final rinse; Tensolar, for sunscreen residues, at 1 to 5 g/kg (up to 15 g/kg in difficult cases); and Neu, a neutraliser, at 1 to 5 g/kg in the penultimate rinse. Each reference has a technical data sheet and a safety data sheet (SDS), and Instaquim is the manufacturer.
