Grasclean is a professional mineral oil emulsifier formulated with high-efficiency surfactants and solvents to dissolve, emulsify and facilitate the removal of petroleum-derived contaminants: asphalt, fuel, industrial oils and heavy machinery greases. As an industrial degreaser for intensive use, it acts on both fresh and aged deposits.
Description
Grasclean combines two complementary mechanisms in a single formulation: the solvent action, which penetrates the hydrocarbon structure and fragments it from the inside, removing bituminous layers of high adhesion, and the emulsifying action, through surfactants that reduce the interfacial tension between the contaminant and the surface, dispersing residues in the aqueous phase to facilitate their removal with water. This combination eliminates the need to apply a pure solvent first and then an alkaline detergent separately.
Formulated and manufactured by Detervic / Instaquim, Grasclean is designed for operations where conventional degreasers prove insufficient against petroleum contaminants.

Benefits for professional use
- Dual mechanism in one step — solvent plus emulsifying action with no need to combine products or repeat the cleaning operation.
Primary applications
- Construction and road works: cleaning of paving machinery, compactors, rollers and tools contaminated with asphalt or bituminous residues of high adhesion, both fresh and aged.
- Industrial maintenance: degreasing of gears, chains, transmission parts and engine components with accumulation of fuel, degraded lubricants or cutting oils.
- Heavy machinery workshops: cleaning of housings, beds and parts periodically exposed to hydraulic fluids and fuels.
- Fleet maintenance: degreasing of vehicle undercarriages, engines and transmission systems with accumulated hydrocarbon contamination.
- Production facilities and industrial cleaning services: removal of industrial oils and greases in production lines.
Recommended sectors
- Construction and road works — removal of asphalt, bitumen and bituminous residues in paving machinery and compaction equipment.
- Industrial maintenance — degreasing of transmissions, engines and parts with degraded lubricants and accumulated cutting oils.
- Heavy machinery workshops — cleaning of components exposed to hydraulic fluids, fuels and mineral oils in periodic maintenance cycles.
- Fleet maintenance — degreasing of undercarriages, engines and transmission systems in industrial vehicles with hydrocarbon contamination.
- Industrial cleaning — operations in facilities with equipment exposed to mineral oils.

Specialised product versus generic alternative
| Aspect | Grasclean | Generic product |
|---|---|---|
| Application | Specifically formulated for heavy hydrocarbons: asphalt, fuel, industrial oils and machinery greases | More general use; limited effectiveness on high-adhesion petroleum contaminants |
| Mechanism | Dual-action solvent + emulsifier in one step | Generally single mechanism; may require additional steps |
| Performance on aged asphalt | High — penetrates and fragments high-adhesion bituminous layers | Variable depending on formulation |
| Technical documentation | Technical data sheet available | May depend on supplier |
| Support | Manufacturer with technical department — Detervic / Instaquim | Reseller or brand with no direct technical support |
| Channel adaptation | Distributor pricing and professional formats | Frequently retail format |
Frequently asked questions
What is Grasclean used for?
Grasclean is a mineral oil emulsifier formulated to dissolve, emulsify and facilitate the removal of petroleum-derived contaminants: asphalt, fuel, industrial oils, heavy machinery greases and degraded lubricants. It acts on both fresh contaminants and aged high-adhesion layers without the need for mechanical abrasion.
Which sectors is it recommended for?
It is primarily aimed at construction and road works, industrial maintenance, heavy machinery workshops, fleet maintenance and industrial cleaning services. In all these environments, hydrocarbon contamination is frequent, against which conventional alkaline degreasers offer limited effectiveness.
Is it suitable for cleaning aged asphalt?
Yes. The solvent component of Grasclean penetrates the structure of hardened hydrocarbons and fragments them before the surfactant emulsifies them for removal with water. The formula acts on both fresh contaminants and aged high-adhesion bituminous layers.
Is it suitable for professional use?
Yes. Formulated by Detervic / Instaquim for professional environments of intensive use, with technical support for distributors and authorised users.
Where can I access the technical data sheet?
Available on this page. For usage recommendations or detailed operational information, consult the technical document.
Is the safety data sheet available?
Yes. The safety data sheet (SDS) is available to authorised customers and distributors upon request from the commercial department.
How can I request a quote or price list?
Contact the commercial team via form, WhatsApp or telephone. We respond to queries within less than 24 business hours.
