Description

Eco Rinse is a professional dishwasher rinse aid for intensive use, formulated to act during the final rinse phase of HoReCa equipment, catering facilities and institutional kitchen dishwashers. Its mechanism of action consists of modifying water surface tension, allowing it to drain uniformly over tableware, glassware and cutlery. This effect prevents the formation of stagnant droplets, limescale deposits and detergent marks that affect the presentation and safety of cleaned surfaces. In hard water zones, Eco Rinse acts on calcium and magnesium ions, reducing their ability to deposit on surfaces. The result is a dry surface, free of marks and chemical residues, with a direct impact on equipment energy consumption and operating costs in high-throughput dishwashers.

Eco Rinse is formulated and manufactured by Detervic / Instaquim, with EU Ecolabel ES-CAT/038/012 certification issued by the competent authority in Catalonia. The certification guarantees a formulation without phosphates, EDTA, NTA, artificial colours and added fragrance, compliant with the criteria of European eco-labelling regulations for professional detergents. For operators under environmental management systems or who must verify their inputs with customers or certifying bodies, having a rinse aid with official Ecolabel simplifies documentation and strengthens sustainable purchasing policies.

Benefits for professional use

  • Phosphate-free, NTA-free, EDTA-free — formulation compliant with European detergent regulations and EU Ecolabel criteria, without restricted additives.
  • No artificial colours or fragrance — suitable for professional kitchens and environments with indirect food contact, including healthcare and geriatric facilities.
  • Superior surfactant biodegradability — exceeding 90% in 28 days according to EU Ecolabel criteria, above requirements for conventional rinse aids.
  • Reduces drying time and energy consumption — by preventing water films retained on surfaces, it decreases equipment thermal load and operating costs in intensive use.
  • Compatible with soft and hard water — acts on calcium and magnesium ions without requiring dose adjustments by geographic zone.
  • Verifiable in sustainability audits and green public procurement — EU Ecolabel certification facilitates justification to institutional clients and compliance under Law 9/2017.
  • Recyclable packaging with controlled dosing — reduces product consumption and simplifies waste management at point of use.

Primary applications

  • Restaurants and professional kitchens: high-throughput dishwashers where complete removal of detergent residues is relevant for food safety; tableware reaches service free of chemical traces and water marks.
  • Hotels and catering: fine glassware, porcelain tableware and stainless steel cutlery in HoReCa equipment, without affecting finishes or decorative surfaces.
  • Institutional and collective kitchens: continuous use in professional dishwashers with varying water quality, requiring no dose adjustments by zone.
  • Healthcare and geriatric facilities: environments with strict food safety requirements where the absence of chemical residues on tableware and glassware is critical for food risk management.
  • Facility management and service companies: simplifies dishwasher product inventory and facilitates justification of ecological profile to customers and certifying bodies.

Recommended sectors

  • HoReCa — hotels, restaurants and cafés with tunnel and hood equipment for high-throughput tableware, glassware and cutlery; especially recommended in hard water zones.
  • Healthcare and geriatric care — tableware and glassware free of chemical residues in environments with strict food safety requirements and environmental management.
  • Service companies and facility management — optimisation of dishwasher product inventory and demonstration of ecological profile to institutional clients and in sustainability audits.

Indicative directions for use

01
Verify that the equipment's rinse aid compartment is clean and free of residues from previous products.
02
Fill the dishwasher's rinse aid compartment with Eco Rinse following the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
03
Adjust equipment dosing according to local water hardness and the type of tableware or glassware to be treated.
04
The product acts automatically during the final rinse phase of each wash cycle.
05
Periodically review product level and visual results on glassware to confirm correct dosing.

Frequently asked questions

What is Eco Rinse for?

Eco Rinse is a professional dishwasher rinse aid that acts during the final rinse cycle by reducing water surface tension. It allows water to drain uniformly over tableware, glassware and cutlery, eliminating limescale deposits, detergent residues and water marks without leaving chemical traces on surfaces.

Which sectors is it recommended for?

It is recommended for HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, cafés), catering, institutional kitchens, collective dining facilities, healthcare and geriatric facilities, and facility management companies with intensive professional dishwasher use.

Is it suitable for professional use?

Yes. Formulated by Detervic / Instaquim for professional environments, with technical support for authorised distributors and users.

Does it have official ecological certification?

Yes. Eco Rinse holds EU Ecolabel ES-CAT/038/012 certification, issued by the competent authority in Catalonia. This certification guarantees surfactant biodegradability, absence of phosphates, EDTA, NTA and artificial colours, and is valid for justifying sustainable purchases in public procurement under Law 9/2017.

Where can I consult the technical datasheet?

Available on this page. For specific dilutions, contact times or detailed operational information, consult the technical document.

Is the safety datasheet available?

Yes. The safety data sheet (SDS) is available for authorised customers and distributors on request from the commercial department.

How can I request a quote or pricing?

Contact the commercial team via form, WhatsApp or telephone. We respond to inquiries within 24 business hours.

What is a rinse aid and how does it work?

A rinse aid is automatically dispensed during the final rinse phase of the dishwasher. Its technical function is to reduce the surface tension of the water: instead of clinging in droplets on plates, glasses and cutlery, the water spreads into a uniform film and sheets off the surface (sheeting effect). As the water drains away before drying, the dissolved minerals —mainly limescale— are prevented from crystallising on the dishes, eliminating spots, water marks and whitish films, especially visible on glassware. The result is faster drying, with no manual wiping, and a bright, streak-free finish. The optimal dose depends on water hardness: the harder the water, the higher the dose needed to offset the lime content.
