Bilgras is an industrial degreaser with high-performance action formulated with alkalis, chelating agents and highly effective surfactants. As a specialised industrial cleaner for persistent fatty soils, it dissolves and removes burnt-on grease, carbonised residues and cooking deposits on surfaces exposed to high temperatures, without requiring excessive mechanical effort.

01Alkaline formula with alkalis, chelating agents and surfactants acting synergistically on burnt-on grease and carbonised residues.
02Optimised for hot use: temperature enhances penetration into solidified and carbonised fatty deposits that are difficult to access.
03Can be used on all types of metal except aluminium.
04Contains sequestrants which, together with alkalis and surfactants, break down dirt.
05Reduces mechanical effort required: the predominant chemical action minimises intervention time during intensive periodic cleaning operations.

Description

Bilgras is an alkaline industrial degreaser formulated specifically for the removal of burnt-on grease, carbonised residues and cooking deposits accumulated on surfaces exposed to high temperature. Its composition combines alkalis, chelating agents and high-penetration surfactants — three families of components that act in a coordinated manner to dissolve, emulsify and eliminate the most resistant fatty contaminants without requiring excessive mechanical effort. The product is formulated for hot application, a condition that enhances its action capacity on solidified grease layers and carbonised deposits typical of industrial kitchens and intensive cooking equipment.

Bilgras is a product manufactured by Detervic / Instaquim, a company with in-house production of detergents and professional cleaning products. The formulation meets the technical criteria for professional use in HoReCa, collective catering and food industry, with direct technical support from the manufacturer for authorised distributors and customers.

Benefits for professional use

  • High-performance alkaline action — alkalis, sequestrants and surfactants break down dirt, especially burnt-on grease.
  • Penetrating action — acts as a dirt disaggregant, penetrating all surfaces.
  • Non-abrasive — do not use on aluminium.

Main applications

  • Industrial kitchens and catering equipment: cleaning of griddles, grills, fryers and convection ovens with accumulated burnt-on grease and high-temperature cooking residues, where hot alkaline action eliminates deposits without the need for aggressive scraping.
  • Industrial and HoReCa ovens: applied hot as an oven cleaner, dissolves carbonised deposits and cooking residues adhered to walls and trays without requiring abrasives or scraping tools that could damage surfaces.
  • Extraction hoods and grease filters: removal of fatty deposits accumulated in meshes, filters and extraction ducts (never on aluminium parts).
  • Food industry and processing lines: cleaning of processing equipment, work surfaces and production lines exposed to animal and vegetable fats, where total absence of residues after rinsing is an operational requirement.
  • Cleaning services and maintenance companies: intensive periodic degreasing operations in collective facilities, hospitals, care centres and facility management contracts, reducing the number of products needed for each intervention.

Recommended sectors

  • HoReCa: hotels, restaurants, cafés — cleaning of industrial kitchens, griddles, fryers, hoods and ovens during daily maintenance and intensive periodic degreasing operations.
  • Food industry — cleaning of production lines, processing equipment and work surfaces continuously exposed to animal and vegetable fats, with strict residue-free requirements.
  • Healthcare and care facilities — hospital kitchens and care centres with strict hygiene requirements in food preparation areas and collective cooking equipment.
  • Cleaning services and facility management — integration of Bilgras as an industrial degreaser in maintenance contracts and professional cleaning of industrial facilities and collective institutions.

Directions for use

01
Use Bilgras neat or diluted up to 10 % according to the level of soiling: neat for burnt-on grease and carbonised residues.
02
Apply the solution to the surface to be treated by spraying at around 70-80 ºC, ensuring uniform coverage of the affected area.
03
Allow time for alkalis and surfactants to penetrate the grease layer. For carbonised soil, increase contact time or apply directly while hot.
04
Rub lightly if necessary with a non-abrasive pad or appropriate-bristle brush to finish loosening emulsified residues without damaging the surface.
05
Rinse thoroughly with clean water until the solution and suspended residues are completely removed, leaving the surface ready for use or subsequent disinfection if required.

Specific dilutions, contact times and recommendations are available in the product technical sheet.
