Benefits for professional use
- Active foam control — prevents interference in the rinsing circuit pump systems during the rinse cycle, a frequent problem with the combination of soft water and alkaline detergents.
- No residual odours or flavours — does not leave residual odours or flavours that could contaminate the washed items.
Main applications
- Tunnel dishwashers: collective dining, industrial catering and large central kitchens with high-volume tableware rotation; foam control is critical in high-pressure pump circuits using treated industrial water.
- Hood-type dishwashers: restaurants, hotels and cafés with continuous service, where glassware and tableware presentation is part of the establishment's quality standard.
- Installations with reverse osmosis integrated in the final rinse circuit: the most demanding scenario for any conventional rinse aid; Osmosec R is specifically formulated for this application.
- Collective dining and social catering facilities: hospitals, care homes, corporate and school dining halls.
Recommended sectors
- HoReCa — hotels, restaurants and cafés with hood or tunnel dishwashers operating with reverse osmosis in the final rinse circuit; direct application to service glassware and porcelain tableware.
- Healthcare and geriatric care — collective dining with high tableware rotation.
- Service companies and facility management — maintenance contracts for washing machinery in corporate buildings, dining facilities and food production centres with treated industrial water.
- Food industry — automatic dishwashing with decalcified or osmotic water.

What is a rinse aid and how does it work?
A rinse aid is automatically dispensed during the final rinse phase of the dishwasher. Its technical function is to reduce the surface tension of the water: instead of clinging in droplets on plates, glasses and cutlery, the water spreads into a uniform film and sheets off the surface (sheeting effect). As the water drains away before drying, the dissolved minerals —mainly limescale— are prevented from crystallising on the dishes, eliminating spots, water marks and whitish films, especially visible on glassware. The result is faster drying, with no manual wiping, and a bright, streak-free finish. The optimal dose depends on water hardness: the harder the water, the higher the dose needed to offset the lime content.
