Detercal 1N is an acid detergent with high wetting and penetrating power that rapidly removes scale and limescale deposits. Its degreasing power makes it useful in installations with rust and scale with adhering grease, and it incorporates corrosion inhibitors for ferrous metals. It comes as a transparent brown liquid with a pH at 1% of 1.5 ± 0.5 and a density of 1.075 ± 0.01 g/ml. It is applied by immersion diluted between 15 and 20%, or between 5 and 10% by circulation, rinsing immediately with plenty of water.
