How to organise the laundry from each guest changeover

With several check-outs on the same day, what wastes most time is washing things twice. A fixed routine avoids it:

   Sort as you collect

   White sheets and towels on one side, coloured textiles on the other, and anything with visible stains set aside. Sorting in the apartment saves doing it at the laundry.

   Treat stains before washing

   Q3 is designed for protein, sugar or fat-based stains, such as blood, egg, sauces or grease. It is applied neat to the stain, left to act for around 5 minutes, brushed if needed and then washed as normal, without exceeding 15 minutes of contact. It is not used on wool or leather, and it is best to test it first on an inconspicuous area of coloured items.

   Do not apply heat to a stain

   Until it has gone, no tumble dryer and no iron: heat sets it and the item ends up being thrown out.

   Wash whites and colours separately

   Sheets and towels stay whiter if they do not share a load with coloured textiles.

Sheets and towels that stay white

With so much turnover, white gradually turns dull, and guests notice it in the photos and on the bed. Oximatic + is a bleach based on stabilised peracetic acid that can be used on any type of textile fibre, in any water hardness and at all temperatures. It is dosed at 2–6 g per kg of dry laundry, always with an automatic peristaltic dispenser: it is not a product to add by hand.

For hygiene between stays, Sanitex is added in the penultimate rinse at 4 g/kg, with a minimum contact time of 5 minutes. It is neutral and non-oxidising, so it can be used in the same cycles as the bed linen.

Fragrance shows up in the reviews too

The smell of the bed linen is one of the first things a guest notices on arrival. You can choose a detergent and softener pairing and keep it across all your apartments, so the fragrance is always the same:

• Rosegold with Pink Soft fabric softener: designed to be used together and leave a long-lasting fragrance.
• Blue Soft: fabric softener with fragrance microcapsules, so the laundry keeps its scent for longer.
• Hipo Soft: free from preservatives and colourants, with a low-allergen perfume, if you prefer a more discreet fragrance.

What should I do in high season?

Work out consumption using the cycles from your busiest months and have the stock in your storeroom before they start, not once you are already washing every day. We go into it in tourist season.
